Our Work
This shed fit-out in Pomona followed a tight budget without compromising on results. Following our client’s love of the colour black and wood products, we applied concepts from past architectural work to make this home gym/brewery come to life. With our budget friendly choice of CD grade plywood, the black shadow lines helped tick the box of room for product expansion and contraction, as well as giving the walls a hint of black to match the rest of the interior. Window reveals and architraves still to come!
With black electrical outlets throughout, adjustable lighting, wall mount TV, raw wooden slab bench and a blacked out shed frame to maintain a slight industrial look, we’d be hard pressed to find a better space to hang out, work out and enjoy a beer!
Our client for this job in Noosa Heads contacted us looking for a quality job that would last. We met and chatted through her options, landing on this beautiful Merbau deck with a polycarbonate roof over the top, to maintain natural light within the house. The durable hardwood frame beneath is guaranteed to last for many years to come. Currently in the works is a matching Merbau screen which will include several discreet, lockable gates to provide access to some much needed storage space underneath. We also reused the savageable old decking boards to build a little deck for a cleaner storage space beneath.
The concrete path also in the works to the side of the house will alleviate issues with sand movement on the sloping block, while also creating a clean, easy to use space. This is to be further helped by the connection to stormwater lines from the drains in the path as well as the downpipe from the polycarbonate roof.
We love the frosted glass balustrade, which provides a great level of privacy while maintaining natural light as well as offering a different texture to the space.
Constructed with Trex Composite Decking, we were wrapped with the outcome of this deck. With our client seeking an easier access point from their laundry door to their clothes line, as well as easier access from the front over a stormwater grate, while expressing concerns of altering the existing, functional slope of the ground, we drew the conclusion of situating the deck where it is now. With a step up against the fence to accomodate a high spot in the terrain, it allowed our client a neat platform to place their outdoor potted plants. Integrating our steps to suit the terrain as well as the stormwater grate left us with an end result of a easy going path down the side of the house, while also leaving access to a sewer main situated between the two decks.
With its guaranteed longevity and lack of maintenance requirements, the Trex decking was an excellent choice for these clients
We constructed this hardwood gate to help our clients contain their newborn puppy. They went with our recommendation to use Spotted Gum as the material of choice to match their existing mixed hardwood screening. While also being super durable, Spotted Gum has a variety of different colours which helps to tie in with the varying colours of the timber screening.
Another Trex deck, this neat platform was short, sharp and sweet! Providing our client with a low maintenance deck to better utilise an otherwise wasted space. A great spot for them to pop their wet laundry racks, soak up some sun and just to hang out and relax.
With the old plasterboard ceiling on the brink of collapse, we replaced it with plywood, featuring 10mm shadow lines between sheets. Not only was the space now safe to use, it had a revamped, warmer feel to it from the plywood. Pre-oiling the sheets first with a natural-look finish meant once installed, there was no additional finish work required.
We installed a new wall to house a pocket door to this existing opening. With insulation installed to the exisiting and new wall as well as a solid, blockboard door, this provided our client with some privacy between the family living upstairs and the ones living downstairs. With the client painting it themselves, we added some primer to the section of the door within the cavity so the teal would not show if they couldn’t paint the entire door due to the cavity. This was easy enough to do as we always prime all hidden edges and ends to the doors to prevent water ingress and comply with warranty terms and conditions, so we could paint a little bit further along while we had the door out.
With these customers indulging in a nice wine fridge in their laundry, we installed some shelving to neatly house it while also allowing the adequate airflow it required. With the leftover space within the opening, we installed some shelves to help store extra wine bottles as well as other laundry items.
This shelving system below an under-utilised staircase helped our client organise their footwear as well as have a spot for all their internet devices to be neatly stored. With adjustable, differing shelf heights to suit different pairs of shoes, our client could chop and change their layout to fit whatever shoes are in season!
Another pantry fit out, this one in Beerwah. Our client for this one had pre-measured their required shelving sizes for us so we knew exactly what they needed and could build it to suit.
With the owner tight on space in their kitchen, we managed to retrofit a diswasher and an enclosed pantry above within this old fridge opening in Pomona. A short and sweet job which made a world of difference for the owner.
